Cyber Sphere research and education efforts involve 13 faculty, 3 graduate students, and 1 staff member from the Computer Science department at the University of Pittsburgh.

Our faculty have very diverse backgrounds, hailing from all different parts of the world including Korea, Egypt, Tunisia, Thailand, Brazil, Greece, Germany and the United States of America, and are affiliated with more than 20 different universities, including Carnegie-Mellon University, Purdue University, University of Maryland at College Park, Michigan State University, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and the College of William and Mary, to name a few.

Members of our faculty also bring on board their experiences from industry, including Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, and Samsung Semiconductor, and leadership expriences from other organizations including the National Science Foundation, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
