Mortius Biotechnologies is a leader in biotechnological and genetic research. Often the proving grounds of rising stars in the research industry, their central research facilities in Costa Rica specialize in genome analysis of recently discovered rainforest flora and fauna. Recent breakthroughs in DNA mapping and synthesis have allowed Mortius to surge ahead of competitors in the advancement of cyborg and recombinant technology. The successes have been overshadowed, however, by accusations of eugenics research, genetic weapon experiments, and mutant exploitation. Mortius makes extensive use of its partnership with InterOrbital Operations, Incorporated to perform microgravity DNA research aboard the L4 Offworld Habitat.
