For Cybersphere, do you guys have plugins or do you modify the actual core code to be able to have things like the database connectivity, and http intergration.

We have a patch that I developed that allows a MOO to connect to a MySQL database, and we also use the WAIF patch. Both patches are publicly available on the LambdaMOO sourceforge page.
