A french cyberpunk movie made in black and white animation. Looks somewhat interesting.

I read (on wikipedia I think) that Renaissance cost 7 million to make and only grossed 2 million worldwide. It might have made more since then though. Seems like people weren't too fussed about it although I thought it was pretty damn cool myself.

Ooo oo! I have just added Escape from LA to my Kurt Russell trashy b-grade sci-fi collection and every loves Kurt Russell... Can anyone remember the name of the film where he was the commanding officer of a unit of cyborgs and after they were made obsolete by the next model up, he was dumped on some junk planet and saved a bunch of nice people and kids? Damn, the rantings are getting longer... perhaps I should try to sleep again.

I do have both Escape From... films kicking around somewhere.

Think that's it, though.

Both Escapes were totally ace. Nothing like surfing a flood surge down a storm water drain. They both do pretty well to stand up in all that whitewash, bless their cotton socks. Snake Plissken is such a hard ass, it's flippin fantastic. Obviously it's all a little tongue in cheek, but Kurt sure pulls off those kinds of roles nicely.
