Matrix International has updated their identity protection systems to prevent users from impersonating known citizens, using titles that may mislead citizens into believing they are law enforcement, or trademarked names or terms representing corporations or other major organisations. This includes Matrix security apparatus.
What this means for deckers is that you may find you're suddenly unable to be a dicksmartass and impersonate NPC's, or use corporation names / NCSP ranks in your icons going forward.
Attempting to do so won't get you into trouble, it just won't let you.
If you attempt to use a protected name or term in an icon:
SOME softs will simply reject it
SOME softs will sanitise the requested icon and MAY give you an icon similar enough to pass at a glance
...and
SOME softs (yet to be provisioned) may or may not be available that will permit you to circumvent this impersonation security and let you use any icon you like - for an exorbitant fee, extremely restricted time-frame of use, and possible brain death.
As always: If you encounter any bugs please let us know via the ticket system - while I have thoroughly tested the icon checking, unlike DigiMon, I can't catch them all.
