RSI guardbots / dogs etc. and commands

Post by Timegrinder » Thu Jul 04, 2024 9:00 am

The RSI guard bot/guard dog should now respond to commands spoken 'to the room' provided you start with their nickname or serial number.

This is a general improvement, but also so that you can't lose your guardbot because you install an assassination chip upgrade into it and then tell it to hide but can't find it to talk to it because your perception is too shit (yes, you know who you are) :D.

say dickbot stop hiding

Should tell a bot nicknamed 'dickbot' to 'stop hiding'.

say RSI stop hiding
say GK-47 stop hiding

WILL NOT WORK - It MUST be their serial number (without the #, I may have made it work with it, but no promises), or their nickname.

They won't respond if you're not authorised (owner or added user), or if you're speaking a language they don't understand (anything but English).

The bots now also shouldn't double-up responses if you were to command them to add user <person> or adduser <person> as they would sometimes register some commands twice, give the correct response the first time and then also say something like "Which meatbag?" afterward.

I can't guarantee these work with the dogs, but they should. (And no, they aren't for pets or anything other than the RSI robots... for now)

As usual, if there's any issues blame Rain let me know.
